S.A. HORRORFEST & Short Film Competition

The 4th annual South African HORRORFEST Film Festival will again bleed onto the big screen over Halloween weekend (31 October @ The Labia Theatre, Orange Street, Gardens, Cape Town, South Africa).

With each year gaining more popularity this, the only film festival of its kind in the country (except for another affiliated Flamedrop event, the X FEST Film Festival), always makes a point of nurturing and cultivating the local movie industry, in particular young movie-makers with an urge to create daring, extreme, scary and off-centre cinematic art which won’t find a platform anywhere – except at the S.A. HORRORFEST of course!

Besides a range of indie, rare, classic and never-before seen Horror / Thriller / Chiller / Extreme movies & documentaries from around the globe, each year the HORRORFEST runs the South African HORRORFEST Short Film Competition.
Visual Impact, Magus and the HD Hub will again sponsors this leg of the festival, with an HD production prize worth R20 000 going to the best locally made short movie for their next production (terms & conditions apply).
