ASHTRAY ELECTRIC SHARING THE STAGE WITH TOP INTERNATIONAL ACTS
ASHTRAY ELECTRIC

Â
“…the energy of Adam and the Ants, the sleaziness of Slade
and the sex appeal of T- Rex.” – Chris Roper
Ashtray Electric’s music is dreamy, moody and packed with riffs that resonate – and roll in a different direction. Simply by doing their own thing, Ashtray Electric, with their subtle and magical mix of musical influences, has over the past year continued to leave their unique imprint on the local music scene.
The band is also increasingly being invited to share the stage with top international acts– most recently DJ PhDJ (Australia), Johnny Foreigner (UK) and Balthazar (Belgium).
Recently nominated in the Skinny Jeans Tunes category of the 2010 MK Awards for the music video of “Quite Overstared”, Ashtray Electric has also recently released a music video for the song “When Sex Becomes A Sport” – a lingering and poignant piece of visual art produced by African Attachment. Expect some surprise cameo appearances and more than a few plot twists.
